Lately I've been trying Cooler Cleanse's spicy lemonade, a drink made to detox! It's a refreshing blend of lemon juice, lime juice, agave, cayenne pepper, and water! To order some, click here for a summer cleanse, they offer all types of blends!

Picasso de la Renta

Is this even allowed?! I secretly think that Oscar de la Renta broke into every museum himself, stole all of Picasso's art, tore off the canvas from every painting, sewed it into a dress, and displayed it on all his models in the 2012 Resort Collection. There is no way he did not do that.

Cruisin'

The Chanel cruise collection has arrived and was shown in the French Riveria and I am in love! After moving into my new apartment I'm inspired by the French atmosphere to decorate with pops of color and abstract patterns. This stripe painting by Frank Stella may be my next big purchase!

Classic Coco

Karl Lagerfeld, creative director at Chanel is the true definition of an artist. The designer, illustrator, and photographer collaborates fashion with art into one project. A reason why he remains one of my favorite people in the industry is because he utilizes his artistic talent and expresses them through every aspect of his life, including Chanel. This illustration is a sketch done by Lagerfeld emulating the late Coco Chanel, he has stayed true to her style over the years and maintains the image she created. Not only do his drawings speak for themselves, they are all brought to life through his photography. Karl takes all the pictures for Chanel ad campaigns. Coco being an artistic soul as well lives on through Karl, while keeping her costume flair and classic style in mind, he incorporates art into all aspects of the brand.

Window View

This week I am working at the first private art exhibition in Grand Central Terminal. Artist Ahae took a million photographs through his window and displays one hundred of them in Vanderbilt Hall. His purpose is to share a gift with busy New Yorkers by offering the true joys in life, nature. The art is paired with Korean string music which enhances the experience. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth the visit. Emilio Pucci, known for creating colorful swaying prints emulates Ahae's ideals, embrace yourself within nature. This Jojo La Rue vintage watercolor portrays that idea that the glass is always half full :)

Spring Awakening

It's almost here, the season we have all been waiting for....Spring. Underneath all the Manhattan rain and clear umbrellas the bright spring colors will soon emerge. Mark Rothko, an inspiration to myself, as well as the fashion industry, lets his paintings speak for themselves. The city will soon be painted with hot pinks, blood orange, and mauves enhancing fashion as an art. Jil Sander's collection this spring was inspired by minimalism, as told by Raf Simmons. The construction and lines may be clean cut and minimal, but the color speaks to a maximum degree.
