Check Mate
In this month's Vogue, a spread is dedicated to "Alexander the Great," showing off Lee McQueen's talented creations and inspirations. His collection from season Spring 2005 was inspired by a chessboard of fashion. The models were dressed as chess pieces while the fashion show consisted of a choreographed chess game. The designer used hospital prosthetics to create the horselike chess figure and royal horse guards. Artist Glendon Mellow, also inspired by chess and winning, visualizes the religious parts of the game and ties hidden signs into the painting. See if you can spot them all! Want to feel like a winning chess piece? Prada has some great black and white shoes this Spring, click here to make an investment!
